The Art Deco Mural’s style holds a connection to the era of Paris Singer’s time in Florida. Singer Island was named for Paris Singer,
a Parisian Palm Beach Developer (1930s). Singer Island was christened in honor of Paris Singer, a visionary Parisian Palm Beach Developer prominent
during the 1930s. The mural serves as more than a work of art; it weaves itself into the fabric of Riviera Beach and
Singer Island’s community, infusing the community’s vibrancy and culture. Situated on the South Side of Blue Heron Bridge East,
eastward of Phil Foster Park, the mural’s location is strategically chosen.
Phil Foster Park was opened and dedicated in Phil Foster’s memory in January 1953. The Phil Foster Artificial Reef and Snorkel Trail has become an impressive expanse comprised of nearly two acres and 600 tons of limestone boulders. The Blue Heron Bridge area is internationally recognized by scientists, scuba divers, underwater photographers, and snorkelers for its abundance of unique marine life – over 282 species recorded in the REEF database.
